The Pharmacy Technician Program at CTS College combines online distance learning, a campus-based skills camp and a work placement component to prepare you for career opportunities in the pharmacy industry. Developed under the counsel of the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP), our program is designed to prepare you to sit the Structured Practical Training (SPTs), Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) Jurisprudence and Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) qualifying exams. Successful graduates will be eligible to become a regulated pharmacy technician in Canada.
The online portion of the program features web-conferencing, instructor-led lectures and activities that promote interaction and collaboration with your classmates – all done within the comfort of your own home! Each semester finishes with an intensive 40-hour skills camp at your nearest CTS College campus, where you’ll put your skills into practice in a simulated lab environment with workstations. You’ll finish the program by participating in a practicum component in retail and hospital pharmacy settings, which gives you real hands-on experience that you can put right on your resume!
